I attended a pastel workshop with Diana Ponting and painted some licorice allsorts without a dish. The reaction from others was all the encouragement I needed to create a series. This one is my favorite. Funny thing is - I don't even particularly like licorice!  But it makes me think of Grandpa Campbell and that makes me smile!
