Felted Sculpture

Trying something new - yet again. I got some felting kits to try it out with my grandchildren. But it has been so much fun and is so relaxing that I have been doing more. Started out doing some ladybugs. Then moved on to a penguin - a word of advice - DO NOT LEAVE ANYWHERE WHERE A DOG MAY FIND IT .... my penguin put up a hard fight, but ultimately lost. This is my next felting attempt - a little barn owl.

"Dry Noon"

I thought that I had posted this painting when I had finished it a long time ago. But obviously not.

This is an acrylic piece done on tea & coffee stained water colour paper. Once I was finished painting it I bravely burned the edges to give a more "aged" look.

It is mounted in a shadow box that is 20x29".

Digital Art

I created some alcohol ink paintings to use to create some digital art pieces. I paint on tiles, then scan that and make changes in photoshop resulting in some very unique and vibrant art pieces. I will only ever produce one piece of each image, so each piece is an original work of digital art.

My first oil painting

I attended a workshop by Adeline Halvorson using water soluble oils. Was a challenge since I am so used to paint actually drying ...... but I did learn lots of great things.

Sports & Leisure Show

The Saskatchewan Wildlife Art Association (SWAA) has a booth at the Sports & Leisure Show. Meeting all kinds of great people there - trying to sell raffle tickets. There are lots of great volunteers, so I don't have to be there all the time; was there Friday evening; will be back Saturday evening and Sunday from 10 - 3.

Up, Up and Away

Think that I am done this painting. Will set it up in the living room so that I can study it for a few days - I may have to tweak it ......
